FLECHAS Annual Leadership Ceremony
FLECHAS is one of the oldest community building activities in New Haven and Connecticutís Puerto Rico Community. The committee is currently finalizing plans for this yearís awards leadership ceremony and outdoors festivities, Fiestas De Loiza.
As many of you many know ATLLC has been a long time supporter of FLECHAS Inc,a not for profit Puerto Rican/Hispanic organization in Connecticut for a number of years. In doing so, we have participated in a number of educational, civic, and youth activities with FLECHAS. The most recent was a forum of immigration reform hosted in our Hamden offices held on May 18th.
FLECHAS also hosts an annual awards ceremony and Fiestas. This year the organization is honoring New Haven Alderman Sergio Rodriguez, State Representative Hilda Santiago, and Meriden Councilman Miguel Castro. That event will take place at the Winners Sports Haven Restaurant in New Haven on July 10, 2013. The fiestas will follow July 13 and 14.
As one of the sponsors for the organization, ATLLC is also outreaching within our professional network to ask for support for the work of this 37 year old Puerto Rican/Hispanic non for profit organization of FLECHAS.
The awards ceremony will be held on July 10, 2013, at the Sports Havenís dining hall. Award honorees for this year are: State Representative Hilda Santiago, Councilman Miguel Castro, Meriden; and Alderman Sergio Rodriguez, New Haven. Tickets for the event at $40/person. This will be followed by the outdoors Fiestas de Loiza scheduled for July 13 and July 14, 2013.
