Please join us for a unique adoption conference full of exciting workshops and presenters. Adam Pertman, of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, will kick off the conference with a keynote address discussing his recent groundbreaking study Untangling the Web: The Internet’s Transformative Impact on Adoption.
 
The AFTH’s 2013 adoption conference will provide professionals and families with tools, resources, and new perspectives to navigate adoption in today’s world. The workshops are designed to give attendees a broad spectrum of adoption related topics as well as several panels to help attendees see adoption from various points of view- including birth parent, adoptee, and adoptive parents.
 
Workshop Topics Include:
  • The Hospital Experience & Counseling
  • Attachment in Adoption
  • LGBT Adoptions
  • Medical Issues in Adoption
  • Legal Issues in Adoption
  • Special Needs Adoptions…and several panels of adoptees, birthmothers, and adoptive families.
