COURSE DESCRIPTION: My Life My Choice is a nationally recognized, groundbreaking initiative designed to reach adolescent girls most vulnerable to commercial sexual exploitation. The MLMC Curriculum is a ten-session program created to develop and strengthen your efforts to halt the disturbing wave of exploitation and trafficking in the United States. Created in 2002, MLMC was the first comprehensive curriculum in the country focused solely on preventing commercial sexual exploitation among adolescent girls. Participants will have the opportunity to:
understand the research base behind the My Life My Choice Curriculum;
learn how to use the curriculum to run psycho-educational groups with vulnerable girls in a variety of settings;
explore potential challenges that may arise during the group; and
receive a copy of the “My Life My Choice” curriculum.
