Policy 41-50-6 Length of Subsidy
Federally Subsidized Cases Guardianship Cases -
For federally subsidized cases, a guardianship subsidy shall continue until:
The subsidy amount may be adjusted based on changes in the circumstances of the guardian or needs of the child after consultation with the subsidized guardian.
The subsidy may be terminated based on the criteria set forth in DCF Policy 41-50-12.
State Funded Guardianship Subsidy Cases -
For state funded cases, a guardianship subsidy shall continue until:

the child reaches the age of 18; or
-
the child's 21st birthday, if the child is in full-time attendance at a secondary school, technical school or college or is in a state- accredited job training program.
The subsidy amount may be adjusted based on changes in the circumstances of the guardian or needs of the child after consultation with the subsidized guardian.
The subsidy may be terminated based on the criteria set forth in DCF Policy 41-50-12.
