The Bureau of Child Welfare Services located among the 14 DCF Area Offices, (separated into 5 Regions), and includes, the Hotline, the Special Investigations Unit, and the Office of Foster and Adoptive Services.    This is the largest DCF Bureau with currently  a workforce of over 2300 employees, which includes Social Workers, Social Work Supervisors, Program Supervisors, Program Directors and Area Directors, among others.     Read Commissioner Hamilton's announcement  of Stacey Gerber's appointment
