  • 159 Macedonia Brook Road, Kent
  • 51 sites in rustic setting. Stream fishing, excellent hiking, no swimming. No pets. Reservations accepted April 20 through Labor Day.
  • Alcohol-free campground.  Please do not bring alcoholic beverages.
  • $22/night/campsite for CT residents plus a Processing Fee

MASHAMOQUET BROOK STATE PARK
The Mashamoquet Brook Campgrounds are closed for the season.
ROCKY NECK STATE PARK
Rocky Neck Campground has closed for the season.
SALT ROCK CAMPGROUND
The Salt Rock Campground has closed for the season.
  • 173 Scotland Road (Rte. 97), Baltic, 06330
  • Exit 83 off I-395.  Go left, follow Rte. 97 through Baltic.  2 miles north on the left, just past Salt Rock Road.
  • 71 tent and recreational vehicle (RV) sites. Utilities to some sites, bathroom, dumping station, showers, in-ground swimming pool.
  • Two pets/site permitted.
  • Fishing by permit along the Shetucket River with over one mile of waterfront access.  Permits may be obtained at the Salt Rock State Campground office.
  • Nightly Rates for CT residents:
    • $50/night for a tent site
    • $56/night for a site with electricity and water
    • $60/night for a site with electricity, water, and sewer
      plus a Processing Fee
    • Rates for non-CT residents are $60, $64, and $70 per night plus a Processing Fee.
  • Extended Stay Rates for CT residents:
    • $315/ 7-night week tent sites
    • $353/ 7-night week with electric, and water
    • $378/ 7-night week with electric, water, and sewer
      plus a Processing Fee
  • Extended Stay Rates for non-CT residents:
    • $378/ 7-night week tent sites
    • $403/ 7-night week with electric, and water
    • $441/ 7-night week with electric, water, and sewer
      plus a Processing Fee

STATE FOREST CAMPING AREAS
AMERICAN LEGION STATE FOREST
The Austin Hawes Campground is closed for the season.
  • West River Road, Pleasant Valley
  • Austin F. Hawes Memorial Campground, midway between Pleasant Valley and Riverton on West River Road. 30 sites in pine woods. Dumping station, bathrooms, showers, fishing. No swimming. One pet/site permitted. Reservations accepted April 20 through Columbus Day.

PACHAUG STATE FOREST
The Green Falls Campground and the Mt. Misery Campground have closed for the season.
  • Voluntown
  • No reservations; all sites at Pachaug State Forest are available on a first come, first served basis.
  • The campgrounds are located near State lands that are open to hunting {hunting symbol}
  • Two camping areas:
  • Green Falls Campground, off Route 138, 3 miles east of Voluntown. 18 wooded sites. Pond fishing, swimming. One pet/site permitted.
  • Mt. Misery Campground, off route 49, north of Voluntown. 22 wooded sites. Stream fishing, swimming nearby. One pet/site permitted.
HORSE CAMP AREAS
The following campgrounds have been designed exclusively for equestrian use. They open for camping in 2009 on April 17 and close on Thanksgiving. All sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Camping is offered for riders who can provide their own mounts.  Horse rentals are not available.
NATCHAUG STATE FOREST
  • Pilfershire Road, Eastford
  • Silvermine Horse Camp. 15 wooded sites. Basic facilities only - campers are responsible for cleaning sites and carrying out all trash. Pet permitted. No fee.
  • The campground is located on State lands that are open to hunting {hunting symbol}

  • Voluntown
  • Frog Hollow Horse Camp. 18 semi-wooded sites. Pet permitted.
