JUST FOR WOMEN VETERANS
Gov Rell and Commissioner Schwartz unveiled a statue honoring women veterans at the State Capitol Nearly 20% of today's active armed forces are women. There are many new resources to assist women veterans. The Connecticut Department of Veterans' Affairs is proud that our commissioner, Dr. Linda S. Schwartz, Maj, USAF (ret) is a distinguished woman veteran. The Connecticut Department of Veterans' Affairs also has a Veterans Service Officer who is a woman veteran and can assist in obtaining help unique to other women veterans.
