Shifting the Focus

Strengthening Connecticut’s families requires a family service delivery system that focuses on empowerment rather than crisis intervention. The Family Development Credential and Training program (FDC) is an interdisciplinary training opportunity for participants to build lasting links to networks and resources within the community.

FDC provides applied skill development that establishes a foundation of strength-based practices that value families and the community as essential resources.

Earning the CT Family Development Credential is an opportunity to be recognized as a strength-based practitioner.
