PE 1072 Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC Field Review in Danbury
PETITION NO. 1072 – Algonquin Gas Transmission, LLC Petition for a Declaratory Ruling Regarding the Jurisdiction of the Connecticut Siting Council over the construction or replacement of natural gas pipeline facilities in the towns of Danbury, Cromwell/Rocky Hill, Lebanon/Franklin/Norwich and Montville, Connecticut; modifications to compressor stations in the towns of Oxford, Cromwell and Chaplin Connecticut; modifications to metering stations in the towns of Berlin, Danbury, Farmington, Glastonbury, Guilford, Middletown, Montville, North Haven, Norwich, Plainville, Pomfret, Putnam, Southbury, Vernon and Windham, Connecticut; and for recommendations regarding siting, environmental mitigation measures, and construction procedures to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The Connecticut Siting Council will conduct a field review of the above referenced project. The field review will occur over two days, one for the Western Connecticut Segment and one for the Eastern Connecticut Segment. Van transportation will be arranged from a central meeting location. Each tour will take approximately 5 hours, including lunch. Van stops will include walking over uneven terrain.
The field review dates/meeting locations are as follows:
Tuesday, September 24 - Western Connecticut Segment.
Meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Danbury at 18
Old Ridgebury Road, Danbury.
Representative locations will be visited. Stops will be made at the Interstate 84 Horizontal Directional Drilling segment and select road crossings. Walking to certain environmental features on uneven terrain will be required. Appropriate footwear is highly recommended.
Wednesday, September 25 - Eastern Connecticut Segment
Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Chaplin Compressor Station at 539 Tower Hill Road, Chaplin.
Compressor station modifications will be discussed as well as the E-1 loop project. Representative locations will be visited. Walking to certain environmental features on uneven terrain will be required. Appropriate footwear is highly recommended.
