The Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO) is dedicated to the practice of democracy and strongly believes in the free exchange of ideas. Purpose and Scope

The CHRO website is provided as a public service. The site is managed by a CHRO Website Management Committee. This committee is under the supervision of the Office of the Executive Director at the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

The goals for the development of this site are:

  • To improve public access to information, programs and services related to the mandate and mission of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities;
  • To provide a mechanism for the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities to become more efficient, effective, and responsive to the public through the use of online communications;
  • To provide a tool to improve cross-agency or cross-boundary organizational collaboration activity on issues related to the mandate and mission of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

Use With Permission

To obtain permission to reproduce the information (text or graphics) contained on the CHRO website for any commercial purpose, submit the specifics of your request in writing to Office of Legal Counsel, 21 Grand Street, 4th Floor, Hartford, CT 06106. If permission is granted, the wording "provided with permission from the State of Connecticut, Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities" and the date must be noted and CHRO must be provided with a copy of the final product.
