Diversity, Education and Economic Services Division - Functions

Welcome to the Diversity, Education and Economic Programs Division of CHRO.

This Division is comprised of the Office of Education Programs, the Office of Economic Programs and the Office of Diversity Programs. 

The Office of Education Programs works to promote understanding of human rights issues through broadened public awareness, increased knowledge and expanded appreciation of the rich diversity among the people of our state and beyond. The Office of Economic Programs has the responsibility within CHRO to review, monitor and enforce the equal opportunity and  contract compliance laws of the state as they apply to contractors who do business with the state (including subcontractors and suppliers to contractors). The Office of Diversity Programs staff at CHRO review and evaluate affirmative action plans submitted by executive branch state agencies and recommend plan disposition to the full Commission.
