| Entry-Level Fire Service Training Reimbursement |
| | The Commission on Fire Prevention and Control has updated the policy and procedures for the Entry-Level Fire Service Training Reimbursement program. Municipalities, municipal fire departments and state agency fire departments are now eligible to be reimbursed for one-half cost of Firefighter I or Recruit Firefighter training of volunteer and career personnel who achieve state certification. Reimbursement has been capped at a maximum rate of $300 for FFI and $2887.50 for the 14 week Recruit Firefighter training programs or equivalent. |

| CFPC Administered Supplemental Grant Award Program |
| | Letters announcing the FY2009 Supplemental Grant Award Program administered by the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control were mailed to eligible volunteer fire companies on July 31st. Local volunteer fire companies that provide emergency response services on designated state limited access highways are eligible for this grant. |
