State Fire Administratorís Message
The Commission on Fire Prevention and Control has had a presence on the World Wide Web since October, 1996. Effective April, 2010 we are pleased to present our first major portal upgrade in nearly eight years. While we are required to work within the constraints of a statewide standard portal design we have attempted to reorganize information to more efficiently and effectively aide those we serve.
As the Commission has no dedicated Information Technology staffing we rely very heavily upon the talents of staff members Mark Salafia and Yvonne Lewis who manage the agencyís website. Their continued efforts are very much appreciated.
For ease of future access we urge you to bookmark our web address: www.ct.gov/cfpc
The Commission and its Connecticut Fire Academy have had a long and proud tradition of serving Connecticutís Fire and Emergency Service providers. We also provide many of the same services to NGOís, business, industry and military installations in our great state and beyond. Most services can be offered at your site or at the Connecticut Fire Academy facility in Windsor Locks. Whether you are familiar with our services or not, I hope you will gain a sense that we are fire and emergency services people serving fire and emergency services people as well as Connecticutís citizens. We care about you and our demanding profession.
We continue to plan and anticipate providing more on-line services in the coming 18 months such as on-line registration capabilities and transcript look-ups to be provided through a Learning Management System (LMS). As the current state of the economy continues to decline, it is our hope greater efficiencies and customer service can be gained through these efforts.
Thank you for your interest in our agency and please let us know how weíre doing and whether we are meeting your expectations. Always feel free to contact me or any of our dedicated staff. We look forward to serving you!
Yours in fire safety.
