CFPC Administered Supplemental Grant Award Program 

Letters announcing the FY2010 Supplemental Grant Award Program administered by the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control were mailed to eligible volunteer fire companies on September 9th.  Local volunteer fire companies that provide emergency response services on state limited access highways are eligible for this grant.  The total appropriation for the program this fiscal year is $195,000.  Therefore, total grant funding for FY2010 is $1,211 per eligible fire company.  Fire companies will continue to have the option of receiving a check for the total amount or have an account established with the Commission to procure agency services such as Connecticut Fire Academy Training, SCBA Fit Testing, Testing/Certification Fees or educational materials from the Connecticut Fire Academy Bookstore.  For additional information on this program please contact State Fire Administrator Jeffrey Morrissette at (860) 627-6363 Ext. 230 or jeff.morrissette@po.state.ct.us.
