Leadership I, II and III classes
The Connecticut Fire Academy in cooperation with the National Fire Academy present three two day leadership classes over the next year at the Connecticut Fire Academy.
Leadership I: Strategies for Company Success November 15 and 16, 2008
This 2-day course presents the company officer with the basic leader-ship skills and tools needed to perform effectively in the fire service environment.

Leadership II: Strategies for Personal Success May 2 and 3, 2009
This 2-day course provides the company officer with the basic leadership skills and tools needed to perform effectively in the fire service environment. The course addresses ethics, use and abuse of power at the company officer level, creativity in the fire service environment, and management of the multiple roles of the company officer.

Leadership III: Strategies for Supervisory Success September 12 and 13, 2009
This 2-day course provides the company officer with the basic leadership skills and tools to perform effectively in the fire service environment. The course covers when and how to delegate to subordinates, assess per-sonal leadership styles through situational leadership, discipline subordinates, and apply coaching/motivating tech-niques.
Course # 10000 Fire Marshal credit: 5 Fee: $60.00
Students attending any or all of these classes will receive a Connecticut Fire Academy and a National Fire Academy certificate for each completed class. All classes will be held at the Connecticut Fire Academy 8:30 a.m. — 4:30 p.m.
Leadership I,II & III are not necessarily sequential. You may take one, two or all of them in any order.
