2015 Fire Service Instructor Development Seminar
The Connecticut Fire Academy presents the 2015 Fire Service Instructor Development Seminar Saturday, September 26, 2015 8:30-4:30. The presentation is entitled Presentation is Everything: Mastering the Instructor’s Tools of the Trade delivered by Captain Chuck Baird, Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services Marietta, GA (Atlanta Metro Area).
This workshop will guide the participant through the neuroscience of learning as it applies to the delivery of lifelong learning. The participant will have the opportunity to improve their instructor skills in the use of instructional tools and to deliver classes that engage students and lead to life-long learning. The workshop format provides for workshop participants to walk away with an experience in applying the principles and skills presented in this workshop. This workshop provides information and hands-on time for the new and veteran instructor.
The seminar is intended for fire department training officers, company training officers, certified instructors, and anyone who lectures to adult learners.
The presentation will be held at the Connecticut Fire Academy. The course number is 16014 and the course fee is $40.00, with lunch included.
