Marilyn Nelson

Program: Marilyn specializes in poetry readings for audiences of all ages. She is Connecticut’s former Poet Laureate (2001-2006) and the recipient of fellowships from the N.E.A. and the Guggenheim Foundation. Her books of poetry for adults, young adults, and children have won three National Book Award Finalist Medals, two Coretta Scott King Honor medals, a Newberry Honor medal, the Poets’ Prize, and the Boston Globe/Hornbook Award. Ms. Nelson is available for a limited number of poetry readings and workshops each year.

Requirements: PA system.

Audience: School age and Adults/Seniors

Fees: Negotiable.
