About CHE
established the Connecticut Commission on Health Equity (CHE) to address persistent disparities in health outcomes based on race, ethnicity, gender and linguistic ability. In 2009, Public Act No. 09-232 amended the statue to include gender.
How We Operate:
An appointed Board of Commissioners and an Executive Director lead the work of CHE. Executive Committee consisting of a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer leads the board. To help achieve our mission, CHE has several committees: policy, public voice, data, legislative, and resource development.
Our Bylaws specify the make-up of the CHE Board of Commissioners, the role of the Executive Committee, and the responsibilities of each committee.
