Jodi Rell has ordered U.S. and State of Connecticut flags lowered to half-staff from dawn to dusk on Thursday, April 29 at all public buildings in Connecticut in honor of the late civil rights leader Dorothy Height. In a statement, President Barack Obama called Height “the godmother of the civil rights movement.” The President’s proclamation is attached.
