2/27/2007DEP Announces Results of RFP for Projects Aimed at Restoring Natural Resources in the Housatonic River Basin
  The DEP announced that it received 92 proposals in response for RFPs for projects to restore, rehabilitate or acquire the equivalent of the natural resources and recreational uses of the Housatonic River.
2/26/2007Hartford Man Charged with Larceny for Possessing Stolen ATVs and Snowplows
  A Hartford man was arrested and charged with two counts of third degree larceny Sunday by EnCon Police when he found in possession of two ATVS and two snowplows that had been reported stolen.

  The CT DEP today issed a Proposed Final Decision recommending the issuance of a permit to the WWFY to construct and operate a wastewater treatment system at the planned new YMCA.

  Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that the process is underway to designate the final Connecticut portion of Long Island Sound from the eastern border of Branford to the western border of Greenwich as a federal No Discharge Area.

  In a ceremony at a New Haven High School construction project $3.8 million was allocated to eight organizations in the Northeast to help reduce pollution from diesel vehicles.

  Governor Rell announced today that school buses used to transport students to and from Bridgeport's public schools will be equipped with devices to reduce harmful diesel emissions.

2/8/2007Hamilton Sundstrand Pleads Guilty to Violating the Federal Clean Water Act
  Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, of Windsor Locks, Connecticut, pleaded guilty today before United States District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to two counts of violating the federal Clean Water Act.

  The DEP, the city of Hartford, and CRRA today announced major steps forward on plans to close the Hartford landfill.
