The Department of Revenue Services hires Temporary Clerks to support its permanent staff during the tax rush season. These positions are filled continuously between January and May, with work assignments lasting two weeks to 6 months.


Duties may include reviewing documents for completeness, entering and retrieving data on computer terminals, filing, handling routine correspondence, answering phones and relaying messages, receiving and directing visitors, copying and collating materials, opening and sorting mail, and performing other office related duties as required.


Requirements:  High school diploma or GED.  Good interpersonal skills and computer experience a must.  Tax compliance and background checks are required for all new hires.


Work hours:  Monday through Friday with some possible over time on Saturdays.  (Varies by work unit)


Salary: $15.71 hourly                    No Benefits
