Motor Vehicle Inspectors made the following arrests.  The case status may be found on the CT Judicial Website.  (WPTA is a written promise to appear) General law enforcement activity related to commercial motor vehicles may be found in the Weigh Station reports.

 

February 26, 2015 Inspectors arrested Eric Belanger, 46, of Sherman for 2 counts of operating an unlicensed auto repair shop in New Milford. He was released on a WPTA.

 

February 26, 2015 Inspectors arrested Marquise Burkett, 31, of New Haven for falsely reporting the theft of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was arrested by warrant, processed and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

 

February 26, 2015 Inspectors arrested Selena Thornhill-Moody, 48, of New London for misuse of markers, operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, and failure to notify change of address on Rt.2 in Glastonbury. She was released on a WPTA.

 

February 24, 2015 Inspectors arrested Thiago Riberio-Borges, 33, of Arlington, TX for misuse of registration and operating an unregistered motor vehicle without a license at the Wethersfield DMV. He was released on a WPTA.

 

February 17, 2015 Inspectors arrested Terry Pelczar, 51, of Collinsville for operating with a suspended license after he drove a van to the Wethersfield DMV inspection lane. He was released on a WPTA.

 

February 13, 2015 Inspectors arrested Carman Dragone, 44, of Southbury for 12 counts of selling motor vehicles without titles at his car dealership in Bridgeport. He was arrested by warrant, processed and released on a $1,200 non-surety bond.

 

February 10, 2013 Inspectors charged Kimberly Tellier, 43, of Oakdale with failing to register her car in CT and having defective equipment. She was released on a WPTA.

 

February 10, 2015 Inspectors arrested Kenol Noel, 61, of Bridgeport for falsely reporting the theft of a motor vehicle and insurance fraud.  He was arrested by warrant, processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

 

February 3, 2015 Inspectors arrested David Soddano, 45, of Granby for operating an unlicensed auto repair shop in Simsbury. He was released on a WPTA.

 

January 30, 2015 Inspectors arrested Erkan Aydar, 48, of Woodbury for 2 counts of violating vehicle safety inspections at his car dealership in Waterbury. He was released on a WPTA.

 

January 26, 2015 Inspectors arrested Lorenzo Russo, 40 of Norwalk for operating an unlicensed auto repair business. He was released on a WPTA.

 

January 16, 2015 Inspectors arrested Peter Oddo, 34, of Norwich for selling a motor vehicle without a dealerís license in Preston. He was released on a WPTA.

 

January 15, 2015 Inspectors arrested Roman Nieves, 36, of Bridgeport for larceny 3rd, false statement 2nd and conspiracy in connection with a stolen car in Bridgeport. He was arrested by warrant and held on a $20,000 court set bond.

 

January 12, 2015 Inspectors arrested William Snow, 68, of Branford for operating an unlicensed auto repair garage in East Haven. He was released on a WPTA.

 

January 6, 2015 Inspectors arrested Angel Velez, 51, of West Hartford for operating an unlicensed auto sales and repair shop in West Hartford. He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 31, 2014 Inspectors arrested Jitharaman Rangachari, 36, of New Haven for title fraud, forgery 2nd, identity theft, criminal impersonation, and conspiracy to commit larceny 3rd in connection with a stolen motorcycle. He was arrested by warrant, processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

 

December 30, 2014 Inspectors arrested Robert Carroll, 59, of Waterbury for 5 counts of selling motor vehicles without a dealerís license. He was released on a $500.00 non-surety bond.

 

December 23, 2014 Inspectors arrested Howard Moore, 21, of Bridgeport for title fraud, forgery 2nd, false statement and larceny 3rd in connection with a stolen car. Moore was arrested by warrant, processed and held on a $40,000 court set bond.

 

December 19, 2014 Inspectors arrested Joshua Molina, 21, of Hartford for forgery and false statement after he submitted fraudulent documents to the Enfield DMV in October.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 18, 2014 Inspectors arrested William Ramirez, 49, of Stamford for operating an unlicensed auto repair shop in Stamford.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 15, 2014 Inspectors arrested Mackenzie Phillips, 23, of New Jersey for reckless driving after she was clocked at 100 mph on I-91 in Middletown. She was released on a WPTA.

 

December 15, 2014 Inspectors arrested Joseph McOppin, 53, of Fairfield for reckless driving after he was clocked at 87 mph on I-91 in Middletown. He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 11, 2014 Inspectors arrested Skylar Tuxhorn, 32, of Norwich for abandoning a motor vehicle and misapplication of property in connection with a stolen car.  He was arrested by warrant and held on a $5,000 court set bond.

 

December 11, 2014 Inspectors arrested Jayson Kemp, 38, of East Windsor for driving with a suspended license in the HOV lane with no passengers on I-91. He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 10, 2014 Inspectors arrested John Medley, 58, of Milford for operating a motor vehicle with a counterfeit dealer plate on I-91 in Meriden. He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 9, 2014 Inspectors arrested Claudio Rodriguez, 46, of Norwalk for the unlicensed sales of motor vehicles in Norwalk.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 8, 2014 Inspectors arrested Eric Ross, 28, of New Haven for reckless driving after he was clocked at 90 mph in a 65 zone on I-91 in Wallingford.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 4, 2014 Inspectors arrested Bryan Weaver, 24, of New London for speeding, operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, and misuse of registration on Rt. 2 in Colchester.  He was released on a WPTA.

 

December 4, 2014 Inspectors charged Cargo Air Transport Inc of Westport with 2 counts of operating a vehicle with forged oversize permits on Rt. 9 in Middletown.  The accused trucking company paid the $20,000 fine.
