  New driving and training laws for 16- and 17-year-olds, along with tough new suspensions for violations, will go into effect Friday in Connecticut’s most comprehensive overhaul of teen driving laws in more than 35 years.

First-Time Drivers Seeking License Have New Requirement
  People over 18 years-old seeking for the first time a driver’s license in Connecticut will be required October 1 to take an eight-hour safe driving practices course at a driving school.

Digital TV Transition
  On February 17, 2009 all full-power broadcast television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting on analog airwaves and begin broadcasting only in digital. The DMV is assisting the Federal Communications Commission in reaching the public with this information.
