CCT: Introduction to ARRA Page
Search

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 recognizes that the nonprofit arts industry is an important sector of the economy.  In accordance with this Act, the National Endowment for the Arts is granting a portion of the ARRA funds it has received to state arts agencies for the purpose of job preservation.  The Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism is charged by the NEA with establishing a sub-grant program to distribute the arts stimulus funds awarded to CCT by the NEA to eligible arts organizations with the focus on the preservation of arts jobs in Connecticut.
