Regional Opportunities:

New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA)
New England States Touring (NEST) provides support to nonprofit organizations based in New England for community-related activities by select performing artists from outside of their own state.  For questions regarding the NEST Program please contact presentingtouring@nefa.org or call 617.951.0010 x533.
The next deadline is December 1, 2009 for programs occurring after March 1, 2010.

For Directory Artists:
The searchable directory of NEST-eligible artists is housed on MatchBook.org.  To view the directory:  Go to www.matchbook.org/ArtistSearch.aspx

PLEASE NOTE:  The NEST-eligibility process for artists has recently changed
with the launch of MatchBook.org.  Artists must complete an artist profile
on MatchBook.org in order to be NEST-eligible.
  For assistance with your
MatchBook.org artist profile, please contact info@MatchBook.org or call
   617.951.0010 x529.

MatchBook.org is a free performing arts marketplace that will spark
connections between New England's performing artists, presenters and
communities. Launching in fall 2005, the site's foundation will be an
easy-to-search directory of the region's performance venues, artists
   and organizations that book performances.

MatchBook.org is a free website features an easy-to-search directory
of artists, performance spaces, and presenting organizations, designed
to ‘MATCH’ artists with presenters that ‘BOOK’ them to perform.

Matchbook.org is a public service provided by New England Foundation
for the Arts, Massachusetts Cultural Council and the state arts agencies
of Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

For Connecticut Presenters:
Nonprofit presenters may apply for NEST funding to help support an engagement by a NEST eligible artist, as long as that artist is based outside of Connecticut. We recommend that presenters thoroughly review artists’ profiles on MatchBook.org and consider factors such as experience, professionalism and artistic accomplishment when deciding if an artist is appropriate for their programming needs.
